Another Night

A breeze pulls her hair back,
Loneliness strikes her every being
Bringing tears down their usual track,
A stabbing pain takes away all feeling...

She stares at her fate in the dark sky,
Wishing it would all get better someday
Reflection of the stars twinkled in her eyes...
As prayers escaped her lips for everything to be okay...

Standing there wishing wasn't her first time,
She had done it since da day she was abandoned as a baby
Illegitimacy was her only crime,
Even now as she grew into a beautiful lady...

A childhood spent in harassing truths,
She was doing fine for someone who had been sexually abused,
Hard work, healing new wounds took up the sweet days of her youth..

Wonders of loving parents tortured her mind,
Sleepless nights made life a time...
She longed for gentle arms, for expressions somewhat kind...
As she stared into space with the Words of a mime..

Another night lost, she walks away..
Sold To the shadows of her world,
Wishing everything would be okay...
